Airport and The Park

Yesterday we took Matt to the airport for his 6 days in Southern Cali for training for his promotion.

Gabriella snuck a little stuffed monkey in Matt's suitcase when she was "helping" him pack.

We spent the afternoon at my parents house and then headed to the church picnic at Indian Mary Park.

Gabriella actually went down the "crazy noodle slide" for the first time ever! I took a picture so we could show it to daddy because he wouldn't believe she did it without a picture. 

Ariella came home with us and spent the night. Gabriella had lots of fun crawling all over her while she was trying to snooze on the couch....

Munch got to sleep on my floor since Ariella was in her room. It was a fun sleepover night!

Family Campout!

We finally got to have our first family vacation and camping trip of the year! It was so fun and relaxing!!!

We headed over to Valley of the Rogue State Park (woohoo, only a 15 minute drive from GP!) and took dinner with us. After we got dinner eaten and cleaned up we headed for a walk on the Rogue River walking trail. 

Friday the kids didn't fall asleep until 11:30pm and woke up at 5:30 am! Yikes!!

Matt took the kids down to the river in their jammies while mom and I got breakfast going.

After breakfast we played a little game. 

Mom, Gabriella and I played cards while the guys all ran to a few yard sales. 

It was SO hot!! Gabriella sweated it out in the tent for about 20 minutes at nap time before she woke up crying. She cried for about 40 minutes after she woke up saying over and over, "I just don't know what the matter is!"

Matt took Xander in the airconditioned trailer to try and sleep. We went in a couple hours later to get a snack and Matt opened his eye at us. Gabriella immediately ran over, patted him on the arm and said very quietly and sweetly, "It's okay daddy, just go back to sleep."

Saturday night the kids crashed out so quick! Gabriella actually told Matt to stop talking to her because she was tired and wanted to sleep!

We decided to leave camp early and head to my parent's house for lunch and swimming (we were tired of sweating so much the day before!!)

Both kids crashed out about 4 miles down the road on the way home. 

We had such a great weekend and a fun trip! I sure love my family!!

Friday we had a lazy day around the house. Gabriella was in a very silly mood during the morning!

Saturday morning Matt let Xander try coffee for the first time. As Gabriella did, he loved it!

I was SO bad and shared one of Costco's amazing ice cream bars with Gabriella. Ugh! It was SO delicious, but I paid for it later when my tummy was all upset.

Sunday on our way home from church. I was getting a headache from my wig so I took it off. I'm in that all fuzzy short stage. 

Mom and I made black bean burgers for lunch. We liked the texture, but both of us agreed that we needed to try different seasonings in it next time. 

I needed to trim my hair a bit so I let Munchie try out using the buzzsers. She used them for about 10 seconds (I was surprised Matt managed to capture a picture of it) before asking my mom to "Take it please Gramma! It is making my hands all tickley!"

After a buzz we hit the pool! (Ariella and I had a blast! My parents set it up on Friday and it was pretty cold! But we had some good laughs and even made up a synchronized swimming routine like old times!)

Xander woke up from his nap and Matt finally convinced Gabriella to get in so we played around for a little bit with the kids.
