Wild Cats Animal Park

Today we went to the Wild Cats Park in Cave Junction. It was so fun! They had tons of different large "cats" that came right up to the fences and growled and pawed at the fences. Gabriella and I went with my parents and Aunt Destiny.
Checking out the cougar

Snow Leopard

Hitching a ride from Gramma

Watching the female lioness growl

The male lion roaring!

Sitting on the awesome zebra bench

Then we finished out the day watching Gnomeo and Juliet with Aunt Destiny.

Chicken Pox

Well, we debated and debated and decided to get Gabriella the chicken pox vaccine a few months ago when she turned one because we felt the risks of the vaccine way outweighed the risks and complications from actually getting chicken pox.

Sunday evening we took her shirt off for dinner and found pox; little, gross, fluid-filled, nasty pox. After a quick trip to the doctor Monday morning it was confirmed and I began calling every single family in our church that had been in the nursery with her Sunday morning.

The last few days have been miserable to say the least. She only has a mild case since she got the first dose of the vaccine, I can't imagine a full blown one!

We've been eating lots of Otter Pops for fluid. She thinks its great!

She mostly has them on her back and arms. So we've been taking multiple oatmeal baths a day. I put the oatmeal in a piece of nylons and she loves to play with it and rub it all over her.

We are planning on going camping for 4 days this weekend and are still going to go. Our doctor told us to go and "infect the bears" so we shall!

Puppy, Pants and Disc Golf

Today was just a typical day at home; dishes, laundry, giggles, Little People, eating, napping, etc.
Gabriella managed to learn a few new things today.

She learned how to pick up her dog, Josie.

She also learned how to put pants on her arms.

After dinner our homegroup met at the park to play some disc golf. Last time we went Gabriella was confined to her front pack but this time she got to "play" with us before we headed over to the playground to do some swinging and sliding.

 Sinking a putt!

Catching Daddy on the slide. A second after I snapped this picture she yelled, "uh-oh!" and ran away from him while he slid off the slide and onto the ground.

I love doing things with Gabriella. She loves to learn new things and gets so excited about them when she can do them by herself. It is amazing to me how perceptive she is!

Our 5 Year Anniversary

Matt and I celebrated 5 years on the 17th. It seems like just a few months ago we got married and started out navigating through life together. When we got married I remember one of the ladies at church telling me that every year she found that she loved her husband more than the year before. I didn't think that was possible, but I understand now. Matt and I have so much fun together, I can't imagine being with anyone else. And I am looking forward to how much I will love him when we celebrate our 10th!

Frog O Faire

We took Gabriella on Saturday to the annual Frog O Faire in the park. We went every year when I was a kid so its fun to take my kid now!
She made a cute foamy crown

gave kisses to every dog we saw

 played in an ambulance

tore apart someone's Lego spaceship, and showed off her first face painting.

We had a great time playing and touching everything. Gabriella is so curious and out going, we love taking her places and to fun kid events like this. Even Daddy had a good time....
