Weekend Fun!

Friday we had a lazy day around the house. Gabriella was in a very silly mood during the morning!

Xander was being such a chow hound!! The boy loves to eat!!

Saturday morning Matt let Xander try coffee for the first time. As Gabriella did, he loved it!

Shopping with daddy

I was SO bad and shared one of Costco's amazing ice cream bars with Gabriella. Ugh! It was SO delicious, but I paid for it later when my tummy was all upset.

Sunday on our way home from church. I was getting a headache from my wig so I took it off. I'm in that all fuzzy short stage. 

Mom and I made black bean burgers for lunch. We liked the texture, but both of us agreed that we needed to try different seasonings in it next time. 

I needed to trim my hair a bit so I let Munchie try out using the buzzsers. She used them for about 10 seconds (I was surprised Matt managed to capture a picture of it) before asking my mom to "Take it please Gramma! It is making my hands all tickley!"

After a buzz we hit the pool! (Ariella and I had a blast! My parents set it up on Friday and it was pretty cold! But we had some good laughs and even made up a synchronized swimming routine like old times!)

Xander woke up from his nap and Matt finally convinced Gabriella to get in so we played around for a little bit with the kids. 

A Wig Cap, Pretzels and a Smooshy Face

Under my wig I wear a little cap. It helps the wig from slipping around or making my head itchy. One of the kinds of caps you can use is a nylon one. Gabriella got a hold of it on Sunday night and put it on her head. 

Then she got a hold of Xander 

He loved it and got really upset when we took it off him. Matt and I had such a great laugh!

I made homemade gluten free, dairy free, egg free pretzels. Mmmmmm!!

Shave and a Hair Cut

I decided to shave my head when my mom found out she had to do chemo. I don't care to list all the reasons on here of why I made my decision to do so, if you want to know them you can ask. I'll just say that I love my mom like crazy and I would do anything in the world to be supportive of her and help her out.

On Tuesday morning I sent my enlisted partner in crime (Jill) and we set to work!

My "butch" cut! 

We saved my hair and cut it as close to the scalp as possible so that I would be able to donate it all to Wigs For Kids. 

When we laid the first chunk down Gabriella grabbed it, started shaking it around (which made it fly everywhere), and started yelling, "Ooooooh! Brown hair mommy!!"

Time for the buzzers! 

Then we lathered up my head and got the razor out!

All done! Bald and proud!
