4th Of July

We had a pretty low-key 4th of July this year. We had pizza for dinner and stayed home.
Xander was a little ranch monster!

I looked down and saw Gabriella smearing ranch all over the floor. At that point I had a moment to choose how to respond. I chose to laugh! I don't want to be a parent who gets upset at kids being kids and doing harmless things that make them laugh. We have hardwood floors and ranch washes off.

After cleaning up all the ranch and both kids, we headed outside. We took a walk down the street and then had some fun throwing poppers and plums we picked off our tree.

The world's tiniest fountain! It was seriously like 1 inch tall!

Getting ready to watch the fireworks....

Xander's preferred method of waiting....

Both kids literally got hysterical at the first firework. So they and I headed in the house and watched Matt light them outside. They were very far away.

It took Gabriella a few minutes to decide that she liked watching them!

All tuckered out! Poor kid has croup again!
